reEquip // Could I now reach who I once was?: a day on preaching that meets the culture without losing the text
About
A day of teaching with Dr Zack Eswine for those in pastoral ministry on preaching that engages the culture without losing the biblical text.
reEquip is a monthly training day for those in pastoral ministry and ministry-adjacent roles, and this April edition is led by Dr Zack Eswine, pastor, professor of homiletics and author of Preaching to a Post-Everything World. The day tackles the perceived tension between faithful biblical exposition and cultural relevance, asking whether a sermon could reach the person the preacher once was. It runs across three teaching sessions covering the false choice between faithfulness and relevance, reading the culture like a text, and staying faithful in a multi-everything world, with breaks, lunch and a closing Q&A. Community prayers are open to attendees from 9am.
