Fossil Hunting on the Beach
About
A guided beach walk with Tina Scopa searching for fossils exposed in the low cliffs along the Firth of Forth at Seafield Beach, Kirkcaldy.
The Scottish Wildlife Trust's Fife and Kinross Group leads a walk on Seafield Beach to look for fossils revealed where erosion has exposed them in the low cliffs along the Firth of Forth. Tina Scopa guides the group and explains the ancient past revealed in the coastal cliffs. The walk covers rough sections of beach, so suitable footwear and waterproof, windproof clothing are advised; children are welcome with an adult and dogs may need to be on short leads. Booking is essential via the organiser, who also requires an emergency contact for each attendee.
