Young Wardens Ipswich at Spring Wood (ECC 2808)

A hands-on outdoor conservation session for 11-16 year olds at Spring Wood, offering practical experience and DofE opportunities.

Young Wardens is a practical outdoor group for 11-16 year olds run by Suffolk Wildlife Trust in partnership with Greenways. Participants learn to use tools for conservation tasks that help manage Ipswich's green spaces and carry out wildlife surveys that inform local conservation work. The session lasts two and a half hours, and young people must be dropped off by an adult who confirms emergency contact details. Activities vary through the year and the group also offers a route towards the Duke of Edinburgh award.
