Evening Cookery Club – Caribbean
About
A beginner-friendly evening cookery class at Blackfriars Cookery School exploring Caribbean dishes from Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Cuba and Barbados.
This weeknight cookery club session guides home cooks through the culinary traditions of the Caribbean islands, from Jamaican jerk chicken and rice & gungo peas to Haitian poul nana sos, Puerto Rican platanutres, Cuban vegetable empanadillas with pineapple habanero sauce, and Barbadian rum punch. Led by Blackfriars' chef tutors, the relaxed three-hour class is aimed at beginners and includes all ingredients, refreshments and a feast to eat or take home. Vegetarian and vegan adaptations are available on request, but the class is not suitable for gluten-free diets.
