Mark, Motif & Repeat : A Pattern Design Workshop

A full-day pattern design workshop with Jules McKeown exploring mark-making, observational drawing, motifs and repeat patterns.

This full-day workshop at Sunny Bank Mills Farsley is led by Jules McKeown, a freelance print designer and Senior Lecturer in Textile Design. Participants work through connected activities: expressive mark-making, observational drawing from natural forms, developing personal motifs, and an introduction to turning motifs into simple repeat patterns. Open to complete beginners as well as those reconnecting with drawing, the day runs from 10am to 4pm and no prior experience is needed.
