About

New Bristol Sinfonia joins the organists of Bristol Cathedral for an evening of works for orchestra and organ, including Poulenc and Saint-Saëns.

New Bristol Sinfonia and the organists of Bristol Cathedral present an evening of iconic works for orchestra and organ. The concert opens with Widor's famous Toccata from his fifth Organ Symphony, the last piece performed on the organ before its restoration, followed by works for combined organ and orchestra by Bach (arranged by Elgar) and Poulenc, concluding with Saint-Saëns' Symphony No. 3 "Organ". The concert runs approximately 19:30 to 21:45 and is part of the Grand Organ Festival.
