New Bristol Sinfonia

New Bristol Sinfonia and the Cathedral's organists perform Widor, Bach, Elgar, Poulenc and Saint-Saëns' Organ Symphony at Bristol Cathedral.

New Bristol Sinfonia joins the organists of Bristol Cathedral for a concert celebrating music for organ and orchestra, part of The Grand Organ Festival. The programme opens with Widor's Toccata, the last piece played on the organ before its restoration, followed by works by Bach, Elgar and Poulenc, and closes with Saint-Saëns' Symphony No. 3, the 'Organ Symphony'. The concert marks the return of the Cathedral's newly restored organ.
