Collage Workshop: Creating Magical Worlds
About
A hands-on collage workshop inspired by magical realism and surrealism, part of the events around Jack Thomas's Magical Worlds exhibition.
This two-hour workshop invites participants to experiment with found images, unexpected combinations and visual storytelling, drawing on the imaginative worlds of Leonora Carrington and other surrealist artists. Working with fragments of everyday imagery, attendees create strange, dreamlike and magical compositions, with no previous collage experience required. It forms part of a series of events around the art exhibition Magical Worlds by Jack Thomas, a Scottish Borders-born multimedia artist specialising in collaged works.
