About
A children’s workshop on local mining folklore inspired by Theresa Tomlinson’s book Ironstone Valley.
This session explores local folklore and what life might have been like for a trappy lad working in the ironstone mines. It is designed for home-educated children aged 7–11 at Key Stage 2 level, though older children are welcome. No prior reading is needed. The workshop takes place in the Land of Iron Education Room from 10:00 to 12:00. Advance booking is essential and capacity is limited to 15 children. Tickets cost £6 per child plus booking fee; accompanying adults attend free and do not need to book.
