About
An exhibition of intricate hand-cut paper artworks by Anna Cook, inspired by botanical drawings and the natural world, at New Ashgate Gallery.
Paper artist Anna Cook returns to New Ashgate Gallery with Cut from Nature, an exhibition of hand-cut paper works inspired by old botanical drawings and the natural world. Each piece begins as a hand-drawn design, cut from layers of tonal paper, then moulded, curled and embossed to build depth and texture before being assembled in deep box frames. Subjects include birds, woodland animals and foliage, from foxes and hares to blackbirds, crows and mice.
