Peter Layton: Maker in Focus

New Ashgate Gallery presents Peter Layton, a founding figure of British studio glass, as part of a festive focus on his work.

Peter Layton, a founding figure of British studio glass, is featured in this exhibition. For over five decades, he has played a major role in the development of studio glass in Britain. His work approaches glass with a painter’s eye, featuring bands, ripples, and pools of colour across generous handblown forms, evoking landscape and changing light.
