Fundamentals to Metalwork
About
A one-day beginner welding course at The Weld Space where participants learn MMA and MIG welding and make their own steel plant stand.
This one-day workshop introduces the fundamentals of metalwork and welding using MMA (stick) and MIG techniques on mild steel. Participants receive 1-2-1 tuition and practice, learn material preparation with an angle grinder, safe use of cutting machinery, and metal finishing techniques. They then apply these skills to fabricate and weld their own plant stand to take home. The day runs 10am to 4pm and is led by experienced metal fabricator and designer Richard Evans, with all materials included; no prior experience is needed.
