About

A Royal School of Needlework day class at Canterbury Cathedral teaching an exclusive robin embroidery design inspired by the 1608 James I Charter.

A one-day Royal School of Needlework embroidery class in the Cathedral's Community Studio, taught by tutor Kathryn Sanders. Participants embroider a festive robin design inspired by the 1608 James I Charter, using satin stitch, stem stitch, couching, burden filling and woven wheels, with guidance on simple shading. The day also includes a curated viewing of the original Charter in the Cathedral Archives. Suitable for embroiderers of all levels; materials and equipment are included.
