Ghosts of Station Hall
About
A Halloween ghost trail hiding thirty York Ghost Merchants ghosts around Station Hall, with spooky railway history to uncover.
Created in collaboration with The York Ghost Merchants, this trail hides scores of the iconic ghosts high and low among the carriages and trains of Station Hall, the museum's former goods station. As visitors search for the ghosts, they uncover railway history including the first railway murder, how trains transported the living and the dead, and Victorian macabre influences on popular novels. The ghosts are placed in areas not accessible to the public and are for visual spotting only, and the event is accompanied by family activities such as storytelling, free crafts and spooky science in Wonderlab: The Bramall Gallery.
