Alissa Timoshkina, award-winning food writer and co-founder of #CookforUkraine, presents her book Lozhka, which explores Eastern European food and history through the spoon as a symbol. The evening blends recipes with storytelling, drawing on Ukrainian, Jewish, Tatar, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak and Roma traditions. Expect discussion of vegetable-led dishes from herb-scented soups to custard-soaked desserts, alongside themes of memory, resilience and belonging. Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start.
