Book Launch + Talk: The Death of the Clinic by Benoît Loiseau
About
Benoît Loiseau launches his book The Death of the Clinic with a talk in conversation with Amelia Abraham at the ICA.
Benoît Loiseau and Amelia Abraham celebrate the launch of Loiseau's new book The Death of the Clinic: Radical Experiments in the Art of Medicine, published by Fitzcarraldo Editions. The book is a group biography whose five subjects are experimental health clinics — a HIV research facility in New York, a psychiatric clinic in France, a feminist-led health centre in Geneva, a sex clinic in Berlin and a preventive health centre in Peckham — exploring how experiments in care, resistance and collective imagination have reimagined medicine. The event takes place in the ICA's Upper Gallery.
