The Edges of Cinema: Book Launch + Panel Discussion

A book launch and panel discussion celebrating Erika Balsom's The Edges of Cinema, exploring film culture on the margins of the mainstream.

The ICA hosts a launch for Erika Balsom's new essay collection The Edges of Cinema: Essays on Twenty-First Century Film Culture. Balsom argues that film culture is most vital at its margins, where moving image meets visual art and documentary meets experimentalism. A panel with Balsom, Lola Lemke, Maria Palacios Cruz and Jonathan Romney will discuss key transformations in vanguard filmmaking over the past quarter-century.
