Woodland Day: Autumn Taster for 16 – 23 yr olds, Gillham Wood

A free woodland taster day for 16–23 year olds at Gillham Wood with campfire cooking, conservation tasks, green woodworking and crafts.

Sussex Wildlife Trust is running a free four-hour woodland discovery session for young people aged 16–23 at Gillham Wood Nature Reserve. Participants can cook lunch around a campfire, try practical woodland conservation, relax in hammocks and have a go at green woodworking and woodland crafts. The day also introduces the upcoming Coastal Connection and Woodland Discovery course in early 2027, with attendees invited to help shape its design. The group meets at Cooden Beach Station and walks to the site together.
