About
Book launch for a new biography of writer Terrance Dicks, with author Simon Guerrier in conversation at the Portico Library.
Simon Guerrier launches the first full-length biography of prolific children's author and Doctor Who writer and script editor Terrance Dicks, written with the cooperation of Dicks's family and drawing on his own papers. He will be in conversation with Portico Library trustee Esther Lisk-Carew about the book and Dicks's life, including his 1980s BBC adaptations of classic Victorian novels. First editions of Jane Eyre and Oliver Twist will be on display, and books will be on sale. The event lasts 1 hour 15 minutes, with doors at 5:45 PM, and raises funds for the Portico Reunited.
