Rémy Ballot, OUO Solo Players
About
Violinist and conductor Rémy Ballot joins a chamber ensemble drawn from Oxford University Orchestra for Bruckner's String Quintet and Mathilde Kralik's Nonet.
Following their chamber programme of Mozart and Strauss the previous January, violinist and conductor Rémy Ballot returns to perform with a chamber ensemble drawn from members of the Oxford University Orchestra. The programme pairs Bruckner's String Quintet in F major with the Nonet in C minor by his student Mathilde Kralik von Meyrswalden, scored for the rare combination of clarinet, bassoon, two horns, string quartet and piano. The concert forms part of an ongoing collaboration between the JdP Music Building and OUO, supported by St Hilda's and Balliol Colleges.
