Railway Workshop Forge Days at High Peak Junction

Make a simple metalwork object with a blacksmith at the original railway workshop forge.

Participants make a simple metalworking object such as a barbecue fork, fire poker or coat hook using the original forge and hand-pumped bellows dating from the 1830s. The blacksmith explains the process and the history of the craft. Participants must be over 11. The old workshop has uneven floors and narrow doorways; contact the venue before visiting if access is a concern.
