Lost, Banned, Reclaimed Chess of the Wind + Q&A

This screening presents the restored 1976 Iranian film Chess of the Wind, followed by an introduction and a Q&A session.

The film, directed by Mohammad Reza Aslani, was banned after the 1979 Iranian revolution and its original negative was presumed lost until its rediscovery and restoration in 2014. The screening will be introduced by season curator Ali Lalfam, followed by a post-screening Q&A with Iranian filmmaker and actor Ali Mosaffa.
