Local historian David Rose gives an illustrated evening talk on his collection of vintage postcards and photographs of Guildford and its villages.

Local historian David Rose has collected old picture postcards and vintage photographs of Guildford and its surrounding villages for nearly 50 years. In this illustrated evening talk he presents a wide selection of his favourite images, sharing stories of how he acquired them and the historic details visible in each one. He also explains how the collection led to a parallel career, moving from local journalism to producing local history books and giving hundreds of talks on the subject.
