About
A full-day practical milling experience with a windmill tour, hands-on use of two sets of millstones and baking in the Bakehouse.
Participants learn about grain, flour and baking, mill wholemeal and white flour using oil-engine and electrically powered stones, and bake with their own flour to take home. The day runs 09:00–15:30 and includes a buffet lunch and refreshments in the £85 price. Participants must be aged 16 or over and able to climb the mill stairs unaided. The organiser recommends closed shoes and notes the dusty working environment.
