The Fabric of Protest 10th Birthday Edition
About
A celebratory textile workshop marking ten years of PHM's Fabric of Protest community, with bunting making, banner contributions and cake.
People's History Museum's Fabric of Protest textile community marks its tenth birthday with a special session open to current, previous and new members. Inspired by the museum's collections, the group has grown over a decade, staging an exhibition at the museum in 2018 and contributing to the British Textile Biennial and Peterloo 2019 bicentenary celebrations. The birthday event includes celebratory bunting making, resources and guidance to add to a new shared banner, and a display of previous Fabric of Protest work, alongside cake and brews. It is suitable for ages 12 and over (under 16s with an accompanying adult) and all textile abilities are welcome.
