Breathing Fundamentals for Pelvic Floor Function
About
A workshop with Vicki McCordall exploring how breathing, posture and movement affect pelvic floor function, with practical exercises to take away.
This four-hour workshop looks at how breathing, standing and movement patterns relate to pelvic floor function, drawing on current scientific understanding of pelvic floor health. Participants learn how the respiratory muscles and pelvic floor work together, how posture and lifestyle affect symptoms, and how to activate and relax the pelvic floor. The session includes simple daily exercises, a short routine to follow, breathing exercises for some prolapse conditions, and lifestyle adjustments that can be implemented immediately. Attendees should bring a yoga mat, cushion and refreshments.
