Roman Exeter and the Seaton Down Hoard Gallery Handling

A free drop-in gallery handling session where volunteers let visitors handle real and replica Roman artefacts and coins from the Seaton Down Hoard.

Volunteer guides invite visitors to handle real and replica Roman artefacts from RAMM's collection, exploring daily life in the Roman fortress town of Isca. Visitors can also examine and handle selected coins from the Seaton Down Hoard, a hoard of over 22,000 4th-century Roman coins found in East Devon. The drop-in activity suits individuals, families and small groups and is fully accessible.
