Fresh Thursday // Salt House + Maja Bugge & Dave Evans
About
A Fresh Thursday gig pairing folk band Salt House with cellist Maja Bugge and pianist Dave Evans, served alongside a home-cooked plant-based meal at Cobalt Studios.
Fresh Thursday is Cobalt Studios' regular seated night of new music accompanied by a home-cooked, mostly vegan meal, board games and candles. This edition features Salt House, a folk trio blending ancient ballads and contemporary songs shaped by the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, Northumberland and Shetland. They are joined by Maja Bugge and Dave Evans, touring new collaborative work grown from their 2023 project SORTLAND, exploring memory, movement, nature and belonging through melody, language and grooves. Doors open at 7pm with dinner around 8pm, music from about 8pm and the night finishing around 10–10.15pm.
