Hospital Rooms: What Art Can Change
About
An exhibition of documentation, reproductions and new works from Hospital Rooms' two-year project placing contemporary art on NHS forensic mental health wards.
The arts and mental health charity Hospital Rooms presents an exhibition marking the end of a two-year project with South West Yorkshire Partnership Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. Fifteen artists created permanent works for forensic wards and Psychiatric Intensive Care Units at Fieldhead Hospital in Wakefield and Kendray Hospital in Barnsley, shaped by 50 workshops held on the wards and with partners at The Hepworth Wakefield and Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The display brings together documentation, reproductions and new works, shown in the Main Gallery with audio, Braille, Easier Read and dyslexia-friendly interpretations.
