About

A guided 2.5-hour walk in Brede High Wood learning plant and fungi identification, folklore, history and wild flavours.

Flavour Fred leads a 2.5-hour guided walk through the ancient, protected Brede High Wood in East Sussex, authorised by the Woodland Trust. Participants learn plant and fungi identification, plus the history, folklore, soil health and legalities of foraging — though this is an identification course, not a gathering one. The walk also covers preservation techniques with tasters of wild booze infusions, and attendees receive follow-up resources and book recommendations. Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
