Stone Point Guided Walk

A guided coastal walk to the remote Stone Point peninsular from the Naze, looking for wintering birds on the marshes.

Essex Wildlife Trust leads a guided walk to the remote Stone Point peninsular, timed around high tide so the group may be cut off briefly. The route covers soft sand, mud and salt marsh, with a chance of spotting wintering birds that inhabit the marshes, though sightings cannot be guaranteed. The walk may take up to three hours and cover up to five miles; tide and beach conditions dictate the actual route. Suitable footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, water and binoculars are recommended.
