Capability vs Control: Who Captures the Value?
About
A seminar with Jan Ward CBE asking whether Cornwall can retain ownership and value from the offshore energy industries it has the skills to serve.
This flagship seminar examines whether Cornwall, despite its expertise in marine engineering, offshore operations, environmental science and renewable energy, can move from being a capable participant in new industries to controlling them. Jan Ward CBE, Chair of the Cornwall FLOW Commission, explores who captures the value as investment in offshore energy and the wider Atlantic economy grows. Drawing together themes from across the seminar series, the session considers what lasting economic success for Cornwall and its communities would look like.
