Family Fungi Quest | Discover the Magic of Mushrooms

A family fungi-spotting session at Heligan exploring the role of fungi in ecosystems before a garden hunt for spectacular mushroom species.

This family activity invites participants into the hidden world of fungi, first discovering the vital role fungi play in ecosystems, then exploring the gardens to find spectacular species. The session meets at the Hollow, to the right of the Ticket Office, and takes place in an area of the estate that can be muddy, so sturdy waterproof footwear or wellies are advised, along with long sleeves and trousers. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and guests are welcome to bring binoculars, drinks and snacks.
