About

A guided foraging walk on the Cowdray Estate with forager George Linklater, discovering edible plants, fungi and trees as autumn turns to winter.

Cowdray's Estate Forager George Linklater leads a roughly 2.5-hour walk across the Estate's undulating countryside, exploring the wild foods available as autumn gives way to winter. Participants learn to identify seasonal fungi, trees and plants, and hear about their culinary and traditional medicinal uses, histories and ecological relationships. The walk is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with existing knowledge, and warm clothing and outdoor footwear are recommended.
