New College Festival – Eleanor Drage
About
AI ethicist Eleanor Drage discusses her book 'What If We Got AI Right?' at the New College Festival of Books and Belief, chaired by Marion Thain.
Eleanor Drage, an AI ethicist, presents her 2026 book 'What If We Got AI Right? How to Stop Catastrophising and Build an Ethical Future' in a one-hour talk at Martin Hall, New College. The book challenges dominant AI doomsday narratives, examining Big Tech monopolies, algorithmic bias, AI hype and the lack of public involvement in design, and argues for bringing feminism, reparative justice and climate politics into AI debates. The session is chaired by Marion Thain and forms part of the New College Festival of Books and Belief 2026.
