Successful Year Team Leadership (Secondary)

A three-part morning training programme for secondary school Year Leaders covering pastoral leadership, year group culture and pupil outcomes.

OTSA runs this three-session programme for secondary school teachers in Year Team or pastoral leadership roles, suitable for both new and experienced Year Leaders. Sessions run from 9am to midday and cover the purpose and value of Year Leadership, building year group identity and culture, leading tutor teams, behaviour and attendance, working with vulnerable pupils and families, and influencing pupil achievement. The programme draws on Core Principles for Behaviour and Attitudes Leadership and Core Principles of Personal Development Leadership, enhanced by relevant research, with an emphasis on practical application.
