Half-Term Family Fungi Foraging Adventure

A family foraging walk with Cowdray's Estate Forager George Linklater, exploring plants, fungi and fruits across the estate during half term.

Cowdray's Estate Forager George Linklater leads a hands-on family walk through the estate's hedgerows and woodland, searching for autumn plants, fruits and fungi. Children and adults learn to recognise useful wild species, hear stories and folklore about traditional food and medicine uses, and discover how to explore nature safely and responsibly. The walk lasts approximately 2.5 hours over undulating countryside, and no previous foraging knowledge is needed.
