A two-Wednesday art course at the Guildford Institute teaching the traditional Eastern ink wash technique, with some painting experience required.
This two-session course teaches the traditional ink wash technique, an Eastern approach that sits between drawing and painting. Students use tone to create dramatic contrasts of light while working with ink, producing studies of landscapes, still life or figures based on reference photos of their choosing. Some painting experience is required, and a materials list will be provided.
