Sound Bath @ Humber Street Gallery
About
A 60-minute immersive sound bath led by facilitator Matt Walton in the setting of Humber Street Gallery's latest exhibition.
Participants lie down or sit comfortably, often with a blanket and eye mask, and begin with guided focus on the breath before being immersed in a meditative soundscape. Sounds and frequencies are produced by overtone-emitting instruments including a Remo drum, Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, and Koshi chimes. The session takes place within the gallery's latest exhibition and aims to calm the nervous system and encourage deep relaxation and self-inquiry. Attendees are asked to bring a yoga mat and wear warm, comfortable clothing; chairs are available for those unable to lie on the floor.
