About

An art history course with tutor Ronnie Ireland exploring Rembrandt's self-portraits across his career, in person at the Guildford Institute or online.

This daytime course examines Rembrandt's self-portraits, painted throughout his career for many different reasons and tracking the ups and downs of his life. From outward show to increasingly internalised images, they are described as some of art's greatest meditations on humanity. The session runs from 1:30pm to 3:30pm and is a repeat of the course from March 2024, with tutor Ronnie Ireland, and can be attended face to face or online.
