An Introduction to Goldwork Embroidery

This workshop introduces the historic technique of goldwork embroidery, allowing participants to design and create a motif using traditional gold thread couching.

This workshop session is designed as an introduction to using gold threads. Participants will design their own leaf or flower, transfer it to fabric, and create a beautiful goldwork embroidery motif. Goldwork is a historic English embroidery technique where metal materials are used to create surface decorations. The session has a duration of 2 hours and is suitable for ages 12+.
