About
Dayna's response to Andrew Lindsay's drawing Caput Mortuum, shown as part of MIMA's Moxie display of Generation Alpha curating from the Middlesbrough Collection.
Dayna presents 'Last Living Souls' (2026), a watercolour, pencil and biro work on paper made in response to Andrew Lindsay's c.1994 drawing Caput Mortuum. She explores the drawing's mystery, its alchemical title and crow symbolism, drawing inspiration from Gorillaz' song 'Last Living Souls' by depicting the band's lead character 2D with a crow perched on his arm. The work forms part of Moxie, in which young curators of Generation Alpha respond to and re-present works from the Middlesbrough Collection.
