About
A display within the Moxie series in which young curator Lois presents her own watercolour response to Kenneth Cozens's 1979 work Fragments from the Middlesbrough Collection.
As part of the Moxie: Generation Alpha project, children and young people curate works from the Middlesbrough Collection. Lois selected Kenneth Cozens's 1979 oil pastel piece Fragments, inspired by its contrasting reds and blues and its evocation of space and planets. Her response, Completion of a Beautiful Life (2026), is a watercolour and fine liner work on board introducing her original character Soulace, exploring themes of birth, peace and completion in contrast to Cozens's title.
