Moxie: Jeannie

Moxie: Jeannie presents Trust Your Gut (2026), a work in paper, glue, tape and a broken compact mirror made by Jeannie in response to David Shrigley's Untitled (Trust), 2003, from the Middlesbrough Collection. Jeannie collaged cut-out letters to echo the fragmented repetition of the word 'trust' in Shrigley's piece, and used a cracked, taped mirror to suggest self-doubt and a distorted reflection. The work is one of a series of individual displays by young curators shown under the Moxie: Generation Alpha Curates the Middlesbrough Collection programme, running from 25 July 2026 to 31 March 2027.
