Home Educators Programme: Essential Supplies Day
About
A self-led STEM drop-in day for home educators aged 7–18 exploring how the Royal Marines deliver humanitarian aid after disasters.
Home educators join a simulated Royal Marines Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief task group, choosing challenges and working at their own pace to plan supply routes and design, build and test a system for delivering aid to an isolated community. Activities introduce STEM concepts including hydraulics, fluid dynamics, water treatment and environmental science, with a facilitator on hand to support. Materials are provided, activities suit younger siblings, and tickets include access to the full Historic Dockyard site that day.
