Boudicca - Storytelling with Bernadette Russell

An evening of fireside storytelling by Bernadette Russell about Boudicca, the Iceni warrior queen who rebelled against Roman Britain.

Performance storyteller Bernadette Russell tells the story of Boudicca, Queen of the Iceni, who led a revolt against the Roman Empire in AD 60, using songs, poems, magic and war cries. The two-hour event takes place around an open fire inside a reconstructed Iron Age building at Butser Ancient Farm after dark. The story contains bloodthirsty themes of battle and revenge and is suitable for adults and teens aged 14 and over. A cash bar sells locally produced cider and mead, with hot drinks and snacks available from the shop.
