Polperro: Cornwall's Forgotten Art Centre

Art historian David Tovey gives an illustrated talk on Polperro's artistic history, exploring how the Cornish fishing village rivalled St Ives as a destination for painters from Europe, America and Australia. The talk covers the artists drawn to its harbour, streets and coastal scenery, and introduces the Polperro Polemicists, the group led by artist Arthur Wragg. Doors open at 5pm, with the talk and audience Q&A running 6pm–7pm; it forms part of a Cornish Art Talks series.
