About

Art historian Catherine Wallace gives a lecture on Cornish artist Peter Lanyon's development through his paintings, prints and sculptures.

Art historian Catherine Wallace traces the development of Peter Lanyon's unique artistic voice through his paintings, prints and sculptures. The talk covers Lanyon's St Ives roots, his connections with Ben Nicholson and Naum Gabo, the Crypt group and Penwith Society, and his later showing in New York. It explores how his semi-abstract work retained a deep connection to the Cornish landscape. Ages 18+.
