Introduction to Music Recording & Production Part 2
About
A sold-out follow-up workshop at The Stables covering microphone technique, effects, synthesis, MIDI, mixing and mastering for home studio recording.
This full-day workshop is aimed at those who have completed Part 1 or already have some experience of recording and music technology. It looks in more depth at microphone technique, effects and processors, synthesis, MIDI, mixing and mastering, and techniques for creating great recordings in a home or DIY studio. The session uses Mac computers and Logic software to teach principles that apply across digital audio workstations such as Ableton, Cubase and Sonar, and participants who play an instrument are invited to bring it along for the afternoon recording session. Tea and coffee are provided; attendees should bring a packed lunch.
