Experimental Printmaking Evening
About
An 11-week evening printmaking course at Mary Ward Centre, Stratford, exploring experimental techniques from monoprinting to chine colle.
This evening course at the Mary Ward Centre's Stratford site runs for 11 weeks and is aimed at artists, designers and portfolio-building students who want to experiment with printmaking. Tutor Linda Newcombe demonstrates a rotating selection of techniques each term, including monoprinting, drypoint, relief printing, collography, carborundum printing and mixed media approaches, with students applying them to their own projects. Students are inducted on the studio's etching press and equipment, and are encouraged to develop an experimental, mixed-media practice while building a portfolio of prints.
